Kidnapper Ariel Castro

After days of media coverage regarding the return of three women whose lives were stolen, there's still so much not known. The suspect, Ariel Castro is already charged with four counts of kidnapping — three for the women he is accused of abducting and one for a baby that one of the women gave birth in captivity.

The mother of the child is Amanda Berry.  Out of all the pregnancies  her's was the only one that came to term.  Castro threatened to kill Michelle Knight if the baby died.

The bizarre fact is that Gina DeJesus was the BFF of his daughter.  Castro lured each of the women between 2002 and 2004 by offering them rides. Did DeJesus recognize the father of her best friend and trusted him to take her home safely?     It emerged that Mr Castro had joined the searches for the girl he had abducted on her way home from school. Gina, then 14, was the best friend of Castro’s daughter Arlene. An accomplished guitarist, Castro performed at a benefit concert held in her honor and was even said to have been seen comforting Ms DeJesus’s mother at a vigil last year.

According to court documents, Ariel Castro was accused of repeatedly threatening to kill his wife and daughters. Mr Castro was accused of seriously wounding Grimilda Figueroa, his former wife, "and repeatedly "abducting" his children" in a domestic violence case brought against him in August 2005. Grimilda Figueroa blood clot to the brain,  twice suffered a broken nose, had both her shoulders dislocated and her ribs injured, the court documents said, in addition to a "knocked out tooth" and "lacerations".

Ariel Castro beat Michelle Knight so badly that she miscarried all her pregnancies. She remains in the hospital because of years of beatings that even resulted in hearing loss. Castro seemed to have beaten Knight as badly as he did his wife.  He threatened to kill Knight throughout those years.
